सोज़-ए-दीवानगी क्यों मुझे खर लगता है
जहाँ देखो वहीँ बैठ जाता हूँ नाजाने क्यों
देखने में तो यह अपना ही घर लगता है
बे-सब्र बचाए जा रहा हूँ एक आरज़ू
वही ज़ईफ़ जुस्तजू जो ज़र लगता है
आब खुद यहाँ तलबगार है तश्नगी के और
चाँद है जो आब में भी अज़हर लगता है
दर्द हर बला का खुद ही दवा होने वाला है
दिल से आई हुई यह खबर लगता है
वाह! ‘अनंत’ तेरे भी नखरे क्या खूब है
अना भी और कहता भी है सर लगता है
Meaning of the couplets:
How big fool I am?
Am I seeking you?
No! Instead, I am hiding from you.
What a crazy passion is this?
When mine house is so certain,
then why I found it
everywhere…
I looses everything else in
order to let grow the beacon of
love that have been sown on
mine heart which is the same
old longing for mine beloved.
Now, it is the only jewels left with me.
I think I have followed
something that is of immense
value but was that luminous
shine of moon’s shadow. So,
where is the moon then?
My heart yells yet and again
that soon this pain is going to
transformed into joy.
You have to save your ego and
are you the same who says
yourself the devotee as well…
